Did you know Southampton County is home to the largest acreage of planted peanuts in the state of Virginia? With the highest-yield production in the state, you’ll be sure to find wonderful options for this delicious snack by planning a trip to Franklin Southampton! Belmont Peanuts

Belmont Peanuts offers both a Gourmet Deli and Speciality Shop at their retail facility right on Highway 58! Come for the peanuts (they have so many flavors!), stay for the full menu of gourmet sandwiches, salads, wraps, wine, beer, and ICE CREAM (best topped with peanuts)!
Feridies/The Peanut Patch Gift Shop

The Peanut Patch is the oldest gift shop in Southampton County! Located along Highway 58, you can find Feridies peanuts and snacks, (don't leave without the 5 O'clock Crunch) along with local craft items, Virginia food and wine and more!
Gurganus Peanut Outlet

Located the furthest west on Highway 58, Gurgnaus Peanuts has been a seasonal staple in Southampton County since 1991. In addition to peanuts, (must try the chocolate-covered peanuts if you like salty and sweet) the family-owned store offers pumpkins, watermelons and other fresh produce in season!

The Hubs Vine

Tucked right off Route 671 amongst beautiful farmland, Newsoms Peanuts has grown and sold the Virginia Jumbo Peanut since 1980. The Bunn family has deep roots in Southampton County and loves to share stories when you pay the shop a visit!
Parker's Peanuts

Dreamt up by US Air Force Lt. Colonel Fred Parker, these peanuts have been 'flying' into pantries since 1983! Find their retail space right off Highway 58 and enjoy not only peanuts but shopping and a coffee bar (the milkshakes are worth a stop)!
Virginia Peanut Company

This is like a two-for-one deal because you can purchase Virginia Peanut Company products in the VPC Gourmet Market! Take home their famous dill pickle peanuts and stay for the made to order sandwiches and salads (on weekends, they do an amazing brunch menu).
